Directions
Heat oven to 425° F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
On lightly floured surface, unfold pastry and press out fold lines. Roll to 10-inch square.
Cut 9-inch circle from pastry. Place on lined cookie sheet.
Place Alouette Baby Brie in center.
Brush egg on outside 1-inch strip of pastry. Bring pastry up over cheese, pleating every inch. Press firmly.
Brush top and sides of pastry with egg.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until pastry is deep golden brown and cheese is soft.
Allow to cool for 50 minutes before proceeding to next step.
In small bowl, combine preserves, crystallized ginger and pecans. Spoon in center of baked cheese.
Serve with crackers or mini toasts.
